Wales-born man dies after city bus crash in New Castle
George E. Davis 75, of 816 Butler Ave, died at 11 10 p m in New Castle hospital two hours after being struck by a city bus operated by his nephew Clarence E. Conner. The collision occurred at East Washington and Spruce streets at 9 20 p m Davis died of skull base fracture. He was born in Cardiff Wales June 4 1873 and left surviving three sisters. He had recently worked as elevator operator at the Centennial building and belonged to Savannah Methodist church.
