Man sought in 60000 theft from King's Jewelry store
A warrant has been issued for Cleveland man Deverick P Duncan in the Aug. 19 theft of about $60,000 in jewelry from King's Jewelry store in Union Township. Duncan and an accomplice distracted a clerk while taking about 50 women's diamond bracelets from a locked case using a stolen key. A bystander provided the getaway vehicle license, linked to Duncan. Fourth trial ends in guilty verdict for Marcus Smith
Marcus Smith of Youngstown was found guilty after four jury trials in a 1996 Lincoln housing project robbery and shooting. He faces up to 24 years for robbery related charges, with sentencing for non related counts set for 9:30 a.m. Sept. 12.
