Young Heroines Rescue Animals In Barn Fire
In Shenango township at 10 30 p m Wednesday two young girls risked their lives to free a colt and a pony from a burning barn off Old Pittsburgh Road near West Towers. Betty Lee Eidenire 19 and Norma Jean Arkwright 12 entered the blaze despite danger and escaped with the animals, later treated for shock. The owner Norman Arkwright suspects hay spontaneous combustion as the blaze cause. Shenango Township volunteers battled the flames.
