Large party heads to Camp Doolittle for two week outing
A group of 16 to 18 youths led by Lloyd Hanna of A I Newell and Co will depart Saturday for Camp Doolittle on Lake Erie for a two week stay. The party includes Orrs, Loveridge, Rubel, Caldwell, Sarvers, Garver, Street, Ramusey, Carpenter, Gold and others.

Contracts set for repairs on several bridges
County commissioners let the lowest bids for repairs on the Wurtemburg and Vandorder bridges to Nelson Meredith Co of Chambersburg. Replanking steel joists and painting will cost 1295 dollars for Wurtemburg and 2086 for Vandorder. A new bridge at South Jefferson Street was not let due to bidder noncompliance, with project to be rebid soon.
