The 89th Old Timers Day at Cascade Park featured dancing and socializing as attendees renewed friendships. Amanda Lambright, 102, of Hillview Manor, won a bouquet for being the oldest person present.

Shenango Area School Board named Patrick T. O Toole as principal of its junior senior high school replacing Conrad Palumbo who retired after 17 years. O Toole, 36, formerly associate principal at Greenville High School, will earn 57000. He is a Tionesta native and Clarion University graduate with a Pittsburgh education degree and a master's in educational administration.
Neshannock Township supervisors demand PennDOT attendance at a 7:30 p.m. meeting to press for action on runoff and drainage along Wilmington Road. They plan urgent letters to PennDOT and state legislators after PennDOT declined to attend.
LOS ANGELES AP report says Kenneth Englund a television and film writer and former Writers Guild of America West president died Tuesday at age 78. Obituary notes he contributed to numerous productions and held leadership in the writers community.
