Man kills two and then himself at McDonald’s in Kenosha
In Kenosha Wisconsin a 26 year old Dion Torres dressed in military fatigues fired at McDonald’s customers killing Bruce Bojesen 50 and Sandra Kenaga 39 before turning the gun on himself. A taped message found in his car warned of revenge and referenced voices and admiration for serial killers. An 18 year old suffered a wrist injury while another customer escaped uninjured. Torres had lived in Kenosha briefly and worked in a Chicago suburb electronics firm.

Firemen honored two of New Wilmington's oldest volunteers
James Elliott seventy and John Kyle seventy four are honored veterans of the New Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department. They will ride Old Betsy in the Community Days parade along with other retirees. Community Days, revived by Tom and Janet Hartwell, celebrates a century of volunteer service. Elliott retired in 1978 after 30 years. Kyle in 1977 after 30 years. The department now numbers about 45 volunteers and funds improvements through annual auctions and flea markets.

Speed limit changes eyed in Mahoning Township
PennDOT recommended lowering Struthers New Castle Road from 45 to 40 mph between U S 224 and the Ohio line and posting 30 mph on Pa 551 through Edinburg with a 15 mph warning sign for a sharp turn in the village. A 30 mph limit is already posted there. No change advised for the 45 mph segment from U S 224 to U S 422. Township officials addressed zoning complaint enforcement and police handling.
