A safe at Elliott Wad dington at 116 118 North Mercer street was forced open and about 90 in cash and valuables stolen. Harold Allen discovered the robbery at about eight oclock Sunday night and police, including Lt Peter Hilliers, investigated. Tools left nearby indicated the thief used chisels and punches to remove the inner plate and reach the combination.
