Two Killed in Crash Between Auto and Motorcycle
Two young Pennsylvanians died in a collision between a motorcycle and an automobile on Springville highway. Edward R. Calderwood, 22, of Brookfield, was the motorcycle operator, and Marie Schook, 19, of Bradford, rode on the back. The motorcycle skidded while making a sharp turn and struck a car driven by Gerald Van Valkenburg of Johnsonburg, killing the riders. the car passenger escaped injury.

Mrs Walt er P Chrysler wife of the automobile magnate suffered a stroke early today and was placed in grave condition in Kings Point New York. Walter P Chrysler Jr said the attack followed a prior sudden illness two months earlier and that she had seemed to recover before the second strike occurred. An iron lung and artificial respiration were used at the Great Neck home before an ambulance brought help from New York City.

Start Plans For Croton Bus Line
City council met in the municipal building to authorize city solicitor William D. Cobeu to draft legislation enabling Croton bus service.
