Robbery at Isaly Dairy Turns Up Suspect in City Jail
A Tuesday midnight robbery at the Isaly dairy on Norwood and Highland avenues left three armed bandits fearfully hijacking three employees and fleeing with 193.28 in Tuesday receipts. Showers Bring Welcome Relief
A strong thunderstorm brought relief to sweltering Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania but left two dead from lightning and widespread damage. Six year old Leo Pobutkiewiex of Kingston was struck at a Wyoming Valley Playground association athletic meet, his mother Elizabeth seriously injured, and about 15 others burned or shocked. Myrl Sarver, 13, of Perry County was killed when lightning struck while he led two mules to shelter on his farm.

War Games Begin As 8000 Pennsylvanians Join Large Eastern Maneuvers
Harrisburg reports a citizen army of 8000 Pennsylvanians will join about 25,000 regulars, reserves, and guardsmen from Maryland Indiana and the District of Columbia for two weeks of war games starting Sunday at Manassas Virginia. Exiled mother and sons leap to death in Chicago hotel
