The semi annual meeting of the Lawrence County Woman's Christian Temperance Union was held Thursday in Volant at the old college building. About 30 delegates attended despite heavy rain. The day featured a minute march of union presidents, temperance songs by Volant children, and talks by local leaders. The afternoon included lessons for children, department reports, and a question box. The evening session heard Rev. J Elmer Campbell. The fall convention will be at the Croton avenue MLEL church.
