San Antonio, March 31 saw SSgt. Tori Olson undergo a six quart total body perfusion, the first successful total exchange of diseased blood with donor blood after washing out the circulatory system. The operation, led by Col. Gerald Klebanoff at Wilford Hall, left Olson briefly bloodless and cooled, then awake by Easter Sunday.
