Knudsen Dies In Detroit At 69 After Illness
General William Bill Knudsen veteran automaker and wartime head of production died at his Palmer Woods home. He was 69 and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage after a 16 month illness. He left GM to lead wartime readiness and was named a lieutenant general. He is survived by his wife Clara, son Simon, three daughters and Dr A C Erastene.
