Lawrence County Sports Hall of Fame Inducts 11 in 2010 Class
Nearly 300 people attended the Lawrence County Historical Society Sports Hall of Fame ceremony at the New Englander. Eleven coaches players and referees were inducted along with the Moonkd Joseph family for contributions to local athletics. Two high school athletes Shane Wagner and Cameron Lewis were recognized as athletes of the year. A last minute staffing change saw attorney Larry Kelly replace master of ceremonies Bob Hannon. The banquet ran from 1:30 PM to after 6 PM with social hour preceding the program.
