The plaintiff, J Meredith Towne’s second wife, contends Mrs Towne influenced her husband to leave his wife and child in December 1931 and he remains living with his mother.

In Wichita Kansas James R Lyles 42 shot and killed his wife Martha Ada Lyles 30 believing her to be a burglar in their home early today. The incident occurred as authorities investigated the shooting.
Wallace Ramesbottom, 18, of Sarnia Ont, was executed at London county jail for the murder of Samuel Weinstein during an attempted holdup. The hanging occurred at 12 10 a m with crowds kept away. Ramesbottom faced the gallows despite fear, while his accomplice Henry Quinn is to be hanged June 24.
