Car toppled on Croton Hill kills night watchman
Forrest R. Watson, 64, of 718 Erie avenue, night watchman at Hyde service station, died Sunday at about 7 20 after his car stalled on the Croton avenue hill below Walnut street. He attempted to restart, backed, and pushed the model T Ford down the hill, then the car toppled onto him as it rolled off the curb and hillside, crushing him. The accident occurred near the watering trough about 50 feet east of it and Watson was crushed beneath the car as it slid six feet. Continued on page five.
