PennDOT worker killed after fall from grader on Route 551
PennDOT employee Richard Benzel, 42, of Fywood Cityville, died after falling from a road grader during patch work on Route 551 in Pulaski Township. He was part of a county crew repairing a section north of Mathews Road when the accident occurred. The operator of the grader could not stop in time as Benzel was struck by a tire. Benzel was a temporary equipment operator with the district one county maintenance department.
