Laurel High School Spartan Shop Gives Real World Experience
Laurel students in Amanda Long’s life skills class run the One Stop Spartan Shop inside the classroom each Friday. Orders arrive by 7:45 a.m. with staff enjoying coffee, tea, snacks, and Daffin’s chocolate as students prepare and deliver to teachers and staff in about an hour.

English language learners enjoy movie night in New Castle district
Spanish speaking families in the New Castle Area School District attended a movie night at Gold Star Theaters with about 250 parents and children and 50 staff. The event, part of Kidsburgh Parents as Allies, showcased The Super Mario Bros Movie with English dialogue and Spanish subtitles plus free popcorn drinks and a book.
