Fire Destroys Nine Room Home in Taylor Township
A Taylor township nine room frame house and contents were destroyed by a fire on the New Castle West Pittsburg road near the B and O roundhouse. Owner Lewis Hawthorne reported sparks from the chimney started the blaze. Damage was $6,500 with $1,500 in contents and $4,000 to the house. High winds hampered efforts as Shenango Union and other area departments battled the blaze for four hours. two Shenango equipment pieces were damaged.

Seven Found Unconscious In Car In St Louis

Wirtz Home Fire Kills Woman and Grandchild on Harbor Road
A Saturday evening blaze destroyed the seven room Wirtz residence on Harbor Road Union township. Mrs Sarah Wirtz 67 and Lana Jean Zbegan 3 died inside as neighbors attempted entry.
