Police investigate thefts of at least five vehicles across the county. Since mid March New Castle residents report pornographic mail from New York City. About 50 people filed forms at the Post Office to block such mailings under a federal anti smut law effective Feb 1. Roughly 10 signups weekly since then. Local groups like Knights of Columbus Council 512 distributed forms. 30 picked up and will be mailed with the monthly bulletin. One other organization secured about 100 forms.
