Samuel E Bell, Baltimore oil magnate, was arraigned in New York on charges tied to the death of Cleveland manufacturer Arms Morgan Smith. Bell pleaded not guilty after an altercation outside an exclusive hotel with Smith. Witnesses described the confrontation before the taxi incident.
