New Castle Man Killed In Korea
Mrs. Henry Cartwright of 707 Oakstreet learned from U S Marine authorities that her brother Corporal Paul C Flowers was killed accidentally in Korea. A member of the Marine Reserve in 1950 he was recalled and served with the First Marine division arriving in Korea in December 1950. He was 26, unmarried, the son of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Flowers of R D 2 and had lived with his sister. He attended New Castle public schools.

In Golden Colorado mounting sheriff's officers began removing 11 mangled victims from an Air Force B 25 crash on Mount Tom near Golden. The wreckage was found after reports of the missing flight from Kansas City to Denver. All occupants were dead.

Allied Planes Hit North Korean Supply Lines

About 200 000 oil workers organized in 20 unions postponed a planned nationwide strike in a wage dispute. O A Knight of Denver CIO Oil Workers International announced the decision after a Wage Stabilization Board meeting in St Louis.
