Sudden Death of Charles Gibson in New Wilmington
Charles Gibson died suddenly at his home in New Wilmington Tuesday at 1 30 am from heart disease. He was 84, lifelong resident of New Wilmington township. Funeral by Rev Johnston at the Neshannock church will be Thursday at 1 30 pm. interment in Neshannock Cemetery. He leaves six children, including Isaac, Henry, Abner, George, and two daughters. A machinist William Bagshaw at Vulcan Foundry and Machine Co completed a large mould for iron balls used in bearings of a large revolving crane. The two half spheres form a perfect sphere with 11 inch inside diameter and produce 60 pound balls. The tool and process were specially designed to ensure precise hemispheres and seamless assembly on a hinge with handles.
