Rides for needy families expanded by $197,000 PA grant
A $197,000 Rural Welfare-To-Work grant split between New Castle Area Transit Authority and Allied Coordinated Transportation Services will fund special transport for working parents and school age children. Allied will buy two vans to move children up to 13 between home, day care, and school. The program supports Temporary Assistance for Needy Families guidelines and expands daily bus service to City Factory Outlets from 7 15 a.m. to 11 p.m. including Sundays.
