The Corner Stone Restaurant at 333 E Washington St closed at end of February after opening Oct 2022. Owner Lucas Leventry cites loan delays and financial strain amid downtown revitalization efforts. The city had provided two Enterprise Zone Revolving loans totaling 40,000 and seeks 38,000 in unpaid balance.

Westminster prepares to host eclipse viewing events
Westminster College readies a campus wide celebration for Monday's total solar eclipse. Students and visitors will view from the campus quad 2 to 4 30 p m with special eclipse glasses provided. Activities include telescopes art sidewalk drawings live radio broadcasts and poetry and children's crafts plus an Out of this World lunch and cookie decorating.
