Mrs. Sam C. Davis of 1013 Winslow Ave is named New Castle's First Lady of 1965. A longtime volunteer, she led the VFW auxiliary since 1942, headed county and district VFW groups, chaired the Heart drive, and worked with Easter Seals and the National MS Society. She also chaired United Fund gifts, served in Red Cross and VA Hospital volunteer roles.
