Freight train derails near Edinburg
Twenty two cars of a Penn Central freight train derailed at 9 30 am today at the Pa 551 crossing near Edinburg. The train carried iron ore and one man was slightly injured but did not require hospital care. Butler man faces count of murder
Harold Massart 61 of Butler is charged with the March 3 murder of his wife Bertha after an eight hour hearing. Judge Galbreath held Massart for the County Grant Jury on a general murder charge based on about 16 witnesses. Massart had been involved with another woman, the state said, and a chin hammer used to strike Bertha Massart was cited. No bond set.
