Germans Lose Hundred Planes In Steyr Battle

Nazi fighter strength collapsed as Allied air power destroyed about 100 interceptors in the Steyr raid. Aged Couple Die as Home Burns on Pulaski Road

John W. Quest aged 86 and his wife Elsie 76 lived on the Pulaski road two miles north of the city. Neighbors found their rural home a mass of flames at 8 30 Sunday morning. Herman Houk rushed to the blaze to rescue them, but the house was engulfed. Quest had been bedfast for years. grandson Dean Quest worked at Shenango Pottery and left for work at 7. It is believed Mrs. Quest perished in the fire.
