Thames Course Record Broken in Oxford Victory Over Cambridge
Oxford defeated Cambridge by three and a half lengths in the annual Thames race from Otney to Mortlake, covering about 4 1 4 miles in 19 minutes 50 seconds, a new record. Cambridge led early after winning the toss but Oxford surged ahead by the finish as thousands watched. Continued on Page Ten.
