County inherits properties after tax sale in courthouse
The county inherited 149 properties at a treasurer’s tax sale held Tuesday in the courthouse. Treasurer Ralph R. White reported 24 properties sold totaling $678, with buyers taking on all liens and costs. Unpurchased properties revert to the county after two years, and deeds to buyers are withheld for two years to allow former owners to redeem back taxes.
