Francis Hagan acted drunk and loud on the street, fighting and cursing. Chief of Police Marshall arrested him and confined him in the city cooler until Mayor Cochran could fine him seven dollars, then jailed him for ten days due to lack of funds.
Tuesday night a young man named James Cameron fell on the railroad near Moravia. He struck his head on a knife like divide of a frog and the iron penetrated the scalp three and a half inches.
