In Terre Haute Indiana Judge Fortune fined Charlies Lutz 100 dollars plus costs and gave ninety days in jail for keeping a gambling room. An appeal to the circuit court was filed. it marks the heaviest penalty in the area to date.
A murder from February last year sparked a reform wave in Terre Haute leading to impeachment and removal of Mayor DBidaman. The sequence began with the fatal act and escalated through investigations and public pressure culminating in political purge.
