Lightning Strikes Hoisington Church Injures Five
In Rockford Illinois on Monday evening a bolt struck the Hoisington church near the city during services. Five people were injured including Mrs Johnson and Mrs Henry Stanley who suffered severe burns and are not fully recovered yet. Two unknown children were badly shocked and Mrs Darwin Whitney was also burned. The pastor halted the sermon as the danger loomed and urged attendees to leave quickly. The lightning crashed through the steeple and flooring, throwing many from their feet and stunning others.

Murder at Dunfee Postmaster Stabbed and Beaten to Death
