Wabash Indiana September 14 Henry Simmons shot William Cox in the back of the head with buckshot in a Canal Street saloon after Cox had thrashed him at Cox’s home. Cox, a hard working man and father, died of the fatal wound while Simmons escaped.
Elizabeth Dylv sues Thury Warren proprietor of a La West Washington street saloon for 2000 damages claiming her home one square west was destroyed by her husband’s drunken violence after the saloon keeper warned of its effects. Maurice Donnelly and the Verre Hirute Threwdine company are named as bondsmen in the Marton Vircunt court action.

Jeffersonville Indiana September 15 Walter Cartier died instantly at a farm raising near Orisco in Regen township while helping to place a heavy bent. The fastenings slipped and the bent struck Cartier as he stepped aside. He was about five years old when he died. His wife survives.
Sept 15 Crayton Idaho postoffice robbed of 80 dollars in cash 40 in checks and 300 dollars worth of stamps. The intruders forced the front door and tampered with the safe combination. No further details available.
