It offers home treatment via correspondence and at the Invalids Hotel and Surgical Institute, promising relief for nervous exhaustion low spirits and related ailments. Readers can obtain a book by sending 16 cents for postage.
The advertisement touts Dr Pierce’s Peasant Pellets as a gentle entirely vegetable laxative and cathartic remedy. It claims they cleanse renovate and regulate the entire system with one pellet for mild laxative three for cathartic.
Sem M. Woolard of Chicago visits here to see friends. Mrs M Bert Thurman returns from Seymour. Edward Fackard of Princeton Ind visits Prof J P Faok. Miss Ollie Thompson of Greenville stays with sister Mrs J B Garber. Bettie Douglass of St Joseph Mo visits cousins Myra McMurtrie and Chas Lehmann. Andrew Engebriteon of Coon Vidley arrested for alleged arsenic poison plot against two sons and others.

Washington reports new Nicaragua Honduras treaties enlarging a Central American alliance. They remove trade barriers, seek uniform laws, and propose shared foreign policy. Article 63 envisions a single Central American nation with common concerns and mediating in foreign disputes.
Washington May 27 reports a renewed stomach relapse worsened Secretary Gresham’s health. He is said to be in serious condition with his son Otto and his private secretary Mr. Landis en route. Also noted is Representative Hitt remaining largely unchanged and Miss Mary Dodge at Blaine house still unconscious with slim hope of recovery.

Near Chestnut Mound in Smith County a Winchester discharge by Henry McKinney, 23, killed his two sisters aged five and four as the family’s infant child suffered a slight wound. Samuel McKinney had handed the rifle to Henry to take inside when the gun fired as he attempted to unload it. The tragedy occurred Friday, news reaching Nashville on May 27.
In Nicholasville Kentucky on May 27 a dispute between brothers George and John Montgomery and Arch D Riley led to a fatal shooting in the church yard. Riley was killed and George Montgomery mortally wounded after five shots. The feud stemmed from past relationship issues and drew a crowded, tense scene.
Samuel F. Holliday, a trusted St. Joseph letter clerk, was arrested by Inspector George Sutton and confessed to robbing the Grand Island mail. He began in January and stole to support an extravagant wife, with $3,000 spent by investigators over four months to trap him.
A South Chicago electric car pulling a trailer struck a wagon on Seventy-ninth street and Yates avenue. One woman died instantly. another woman was fatally injured. three others were injured, including two young men. Names listed include Franceska Ruzewickl and Mariana Wiska.
The Advertiser reports Chief Thomas Byrnes will resign from the New York Police Department. He plans to sever ties with the force after the upcoming Tuesday, citing ongoing opposition from the four new police commissioners appointed by the mayor.

London reports Wilde and Taylor, sentenced Saturday for heinous crimes, attended the Pentonville prison chapel yesterday with cropped hair and in prison garb. Life prisoners may only see friends four times a year if they maintain good conduct.

In Lovurmsville on May 27 an experiment showed telegraph news can be set directly from the wire using a linotype machine. B G Bowls and Richard Cogan fed AP dispatches into the Evening Post composing room achieving 50 words a minute peak and about 30 wpm in an hour.
Mrs. Hannah Martin, once reputed as Jesus Christ, was buried quietly in Cincinnati after dying last Thursday. Her following, largely religious zealots from affluent families, clung to her till the end and her death remained a secret until health officials learned of the burial. Her divorce from J. B. Martin is noted as part of her history.
In Sunday games Toledo blanked Kansas City 4 to 0 with Batte and Bergen named for Toledo while Dammon Roach Kling and Grand Rapids led the offense. Saturday results saw Indianapolis defeat Milwaukee 6 to 4 and Detroit edging St Paul 2 to 0 as batteries Fisher McFarland Bolan and Gayle Twineham Berger highlighted the action.

John B. Lackey, noted horseman, was attacked outside a barbershop by William Moore and Edward Derrick, both from Muncie, knocked down and kicked. friends intervened as mob violence grew, and the pair were jailed by the city marshal.
An oil well was opened at New Corydon in Day County extending Todiana lease to Ohio line. Other items note Lincoln lecture at Knights Town High, a spiritualist debate at Muncie rais ing 275 dollars, and a Chicago and Alton property damage award.

An industry long supporting soldiers' widows faces cuts as government tests standard clothing contracts. Large factories cut fabrics and ship to posts where tailors assemble suits. If successful the revenue source for the widows could vanish within months.
