Isaac Murphy, sought in Pawpaw Michigan for a post office robbery and other crimes, is jailed in Kokomo Indiana. Sheriff Harness arrested him on information from a Michigan City officer who had been in town seeking Murphy. He allegedly led a gang responsible for numerous robberies in Van Buren County Michigan.
George Manlove administrator of the Davis estate sued the Big Four Railroad in Madison circuit court. Judge McClure reversed a prior ruling and entered judgment for the railroad, citing flagrant violation of instructions and court interference.
Oscar Bogue a 26 year old confidential clerk at Baber Loan Co left Marios Indiana without warning. He wrote to his employer claiming he fled to free himself from old associates and reclaim a wasted life.

Mrs. John Stout sues Valparaiso Indiana for 10000 damages after a defective sidewalk caused injuries crippling her for life. Her husband also sues the city for 6000 in connection with the same accident.
Vernon Indiana July 1 report says Diad Landrum seriously stabbed Robert Patterson of Portamouth after a quarrel over a card game. Landrum escaped arrest. Both are described as colors.

A compromise settlement ends injunction proceedings against the Southern Indiana Railway Company. The railroad will post a 6000 dollar bond for damages to be decided, and gains the right to lay tracks through the Kintz planing mill grounds for a right of way enabling imminent train service to Terre Haute.
