Said Councilman Wunderlich to a Tribunereporter yesterday it is shameful that New Albany citizens pay high gas rates for poor service. He and the mayor inspected gas service on Wednesday night and noted charter violations. He reported stronger pressure Thursday night and better light. He urged timely improvement and called for paving methods to avoid cruelty to horses by rough broken stone on principal business streets.
While en route to a camp meeting yesterday a carriage running with the street railroad struck a boy named Davis, breaking two ribs and causing other injuries. Driver Claude Dowden said thick dust hid the road and he only knew of the collision by the boy's cry. The boy was doing well this morning and no serious results are expected.
