Indianapolis August 14 At 7 80 o clock last night the entire AP operator force quit except the chief who kept one wire alive. Disruptions spread to Fort Wayne Marion Terre Haute Lafayette and Munice with two operators resigning at each city.
A convention of attorneys general from Mississippi valley states will meet in St Louis on September 30 and October 1 to outline means to preserve state rights and curb federal overreach. Attendees include officials from Mississippi, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee and Illinois, with an invitation extended to the U S attorney general for an address.

Mrs Everett Gates wife of a farmer near Blotcher and her three children aged two four and six were killed instantly when a train struck their carriage at a Baltimore and Ohio crossing near the Scott and Jefferson county line at 9 last night. Mr Gates survived with serious injuries after the wreck.
Elkhart Indiana August 13 The St Joseph river claimed two lives as Charles Hawkes a Lake Shore firefighter and Harold Shasberger seventeen year old son of Conductor Jack Shasberger drowned while swimming on the river.
Seymour Ind August 13 Judge Shea of the circuit court appointed Oscar S Brooke of Brownstown former county recorder to be receiver of the Peoples bank of Brownstown and fixed his bond at 100000.
George Lee ver, 32, was fatally stabbed by his brother-in-law Ora Cote in Elwood Indiana. The motive stems from an old feud. Cote is jailed in Elwood.
