H L Stanley of Braso credits Dr King's Discovery for Consumption with restoring his wife's health after five years of coughing and bleeding. He praises the medicine as a cure when taken timely. Trial bottle offered free at Chas D Knossel's druggist with 1.00 full bottle.
Washington reports the shah of Persia has granted a constitution and a national assembly to Teheran. The grand vizier cables that reforms aim to extend tranquility and welfare, with equal representation from royal princes clergy merchants and corporate reps to meet in Teheran. A national holiday is declared to celebrate the initiative signaling a new era in Persian governance.
Federal grand jury for the western district of New York reports indictments against Standard Oil of New York the Pennsylvania railroad and Vacuum Oil company with twenty two counts. E R Balzer vice president and F Anderson secretary of the defunct J P Baden Produce Co were arrested in Winfield Kansas on forgery allegations. The scheme involved a 6000 dollar butter account credit dated January 1 1905 to inflate profits. Anderson also faces a perjury count for a sworn state secretary statement on June 30 1905.
A meeting at Pfitzner's hall drew unionists and cultural groups in Evansville to protest Mayor Boehne's order that after January 1 all saloons close on Sunday. About 10 000 residents from Brewers' union Turners and other groups joined in. Resolutions denounce revived blue laws and defend Sunday recreation. The German element signatures dominated.
In Durban on Aug 11 an Eth opian preacher received six months imprisonment and twenty five lashes after he prayed in a native kraal at Harding for strength to drive whites across the sea.
The Rev J O Warren pastor of Sharon Baptist Church Belair Ga praises Electric Bitters as a God send claiming it cured his lame back stiff joints and collapse. He says two bottles strengthened him enough to walk three miles in 50 minutes and restore his energy and health.
In Shelbyville Indiana on August 11 a freight train left on a grade half a mile away plowed into a standing engine and five cars at Hendricka street crossing. The impact threw the engine, piling two cattle cars on the locomotive. All trainmen escaped injury.
Brazil Indiana August 11 Earl Sukh eighteen was killed instantly at Turnbuckle mill while trying to put on a belt. His clothing caught and he was hurled around the wheel. both arms torn from sockets and body crushed beyond recognition.

European military experts show strong interest in the Perseval war balloon. The craft uses two small taut inner balloons within a large envelope and is driven by a screw propeller. It promises quick deflation and packing and could move combat to the upper air despite current practical challenges.
