Work on the Community Park is moving fast with a week of activity. Two park roads are nearly fed and the Field House log cabin style structure, 35 feet by, will feature a fireplace and recreation use. A pool and bath houses are under construction as crews of about thirty-six men labor daily, with more expected as weather allows. completion is expected by June 1.
The engagement of Miss Arleyne E. Heims of Nazareth to Verne M. Weaver of Pen Argyl was announced at a bridge party hosted by the Heims family. Attendees included relatives and friends. Miss Heims works for Penn-Dixie Cement and Mr Weaver, a Temple University of Pharmacy graduate, is in business with his father in Pen Argyl.
CF. A. conducts weekly meeting with President Dech presiding Chaplain Remaly led devotions and a financial report. Members listed include Mary Abel Mrs Grace and others. Weekly prize went to Mrs Lillie Dech a Thanksgiving party was held with drawing prizes including a turkey and duck fellows were named.

Nazareth janitor and foreman Robert Bob Hoch says he has walked 34040 miles within Nazareth Borough over eight years while tending furnaces. He averaged twelve miles daily for 2920 straight days and in very cold weather shovels five to ten tons of coal daily. He also janitors St Johns Lutheran Church and the Odd Fellows Hall for years.
