Lehigh and New England railroad staff from Bath attended a Masonic Temple dinner in Bethlehem for Charles W. Brown, elevated to general manager of the Western Maryland railroad with Baltimore offices. Attendees included Lewis H. Beam Edward Nixon Wilbert J. Dieter Russell J. Smith Clinton J. Hahn William H. Hawk Roy E. Hahn William Schaeffer and C. F. Bittenbender. Brown received a 150 piece silver chest and left Bethlehem Sunday to begin duties in Baltimore.
The Needle Work Guild held its annual meeting at Walnut Street Presbyterian Church last Friday with over 800 garments collected for hospitals and homes. Camp Fire Girls directed by Mrs. Rebecca Abel presented a radio themed program featuring Q&A, piano solos by Dorothy Gish Nettie Edelman and readings by Mary Moser. Participants included Grace Graver Margaret Kunkel Margaret Moser Betty Schaffer Eleanor Saras Ruth Nissley Adeline Graybill and Hattie Hahn.
