Auto Collides With Train At Bath Crossing
Wednesday evening at 8 45 Alex Milkuskie of West Main Street Bath drove a coupe into a passing engine and caboose at the Main Street crossing of the Lehigh and New England railroad. The car was badly damaged with front caved in and left wheel broken. Milkuskie escaped with only minor scratches. Both vehicles were moving slowly, preventing a worse crash. The train crew was based at Pen Argyl yards at the time.

The first annual banquet of four Lehigh & New England Railroad brotherhoods honored pensioners over 65. About 300 members and friends attended at the Firemen's Auditorium Bath. Township pupils take eighth grade exams for high schools
Eighth grade pupils from Moore Township and Chapman Quarries Borough took examinations at Bath Jr High School led by Asst Supt R N Taylor. Of 46 examinees, 30 passed with Robert Love and Josephine Grube achieving top averages. A reexamination was set for 16 failed pupils at Nazareth High on August 20.
