Students Hit Trail to California
Last Friday evening Miss Claire Worman a Palmerton schools teacher joined a party of students on a trip to California for a vacation course at the University of California. En route they stopped in Chicago where Reginald Helffrich and friends greeted them on behalf of the International Students club. The party will return in September.

Haidle Chosen To Head Lions Club For Ensuing Year
The Lions Club at Gilbert's Bath hotel elected Frank R. Haidle as president for the next year by acclamation with J. H. Sencenbach as secretary and H. E. Bartholomew as treasurer. Other officers include W. D. Kunkel J. A. Jones H. E. Fry L. V. Hahn and Lewis Funk. The club accepted thanks to President L. H. Beam and planned a July 16 party night with a surprise program and a clam bake invitation from Stroudsburg Lions.
