Campaign nears midway as Pennsylvanians press coupons for Good Will Tour prizes to Yellowstone. Miss Vannatta leads with 42 100 votes, followed by Miss Heyer 35 700 and Miss Boerstler 34 700. over 100 Pennsylvania girls join a train trip with club car and hostesses.
East Greenville and Nazareth lead multiple standings with high scoring games across Northampton County. Key results include Nazareth 10 Nazareth 6, Martin's Creek 11 Easton 7, and Wind Gap 16 Petersville 5. Next week features Easton at Ponies and Nazareth at Easton as league play continues.
The marriage of Dorothy I. Miller and Joseph E. Klock of Bath was announced at a bridge luncheon held Saturday June 1 at Wee Gee Tea Room Easton. The wedding occurred May 4 1934 at St Johns Lutheran Church with Rev F D Pretz officiating.
Local junior and senior high students and grade schools showcased art, sewing, manual training, and cabinet making. Exhibits filled the gymnasium sewing room art room manual training department and cafeteria with drawing coloring design etching garments and woodwork displays.
Hartinburg reports Dr Lester Kelly Ade takes the helm as Superintendent of Public Instruction in Pennsylvania. Confirmed for a four year term, he oversees a $200 million annual school system serving over 2 million students. He chairs multiple boards and serves on seventeen advisory committees, framing a broad educational leadership role.
Vincent Sandercock, former Nazareth High star, excelled at Boston University as a premier pitcher and strong hitter. He led the varsity baseball season with a .325 average and also saw outfield duty. In summer he played with Belfast A. A.
Leroy Edinger and Arthur Kramer were injured when their ice cream truck upset on the Moorestown Nazareth road near Cherry Hill. Both drivers were hospitalized at Easton Hospital with head, leg, scalp, hip, and chest injuries. Edinger stated glare from an oncoming car blinded him, causing the crash. Also noted: local residents Willard Johnson family and William Williamson visited Pecks Pond in Pike County.
The Post Office Department issued a fraud order against the Bureau of Public Instruction in Philadelphia on May 17, 1935. The order accuses the bureau and its officers of conducting a scheme or device for conduct through correspondence education. The notice appears in the June 5 dispatch from Washington, D. C. and continues on page seven.
Nazareth Borough Council meets in the municipal building with President J Allen Schaeffer presiding. Officials accept a land strip on Walnut Street to widen the street and grant use of park and Schmidt tract meadow for recreation while addressing tax bond issues and unemployment relief cooperation.

An auto involved in an accident near Trumbower's Stone quarry last Tuesday at about 1.30 a m was reported as stolen. The driver vanished after picking up two girls who were taken to Dr Seyfried and later returned to their Easton homes.
The Sun day School of the Evangelical Church presents a special evening program Sunday June 9 at 7 39 pm. A Children’s Day play The Challenge of Children’s Day features the youth and a class of girls performs Bible Women. Recitations and other features promise a profitable service all are welcome.
Troop 32, Boy Scouts, met in the social rooms of the Nazareth YMCA on Monday evening with 36 members present. The meeting opened with formation, Lord's Prayer by John Price, Scout oath by Donald Metz, and a talk by Scoutmaster Elmer Snyder on poisons, types, and symptoms.
Members of St John’s Reformed Church and friends gather for the annual fish supper in the church basement at 6 30 pm. Rev Diehl and a volunteer crew traveled to Delaware Bay to secure the catch. Rev R W Musselman of Pen Argyl Presbyterian will speak, with George H Hermanez the Easton singer performing, and Miss Lena Marcks leading the Sunday School Orchestra.
Camp 315 patriotic Order of Americans presents three one act plays in Babps Hall tonight and tomorrow night directed by Mrs Mary Abel. The program promises entertaining performance.
Nazareth High School Alumni Association holds the annual dance and card party on Wednesday June 19 in the high school gym. Members with 1935 cards admitted. guests pay a final charge. Program begins at 8 15 PM with music by the Royal Astonians.
