Home Made Trailer Ends Far-Flung Trek To New York World Fair
A Texas journalist, his wife, and 11 year old son drove a home built trailer 2,000 miles to the New York World's Fair spending about $85. They describe free shows, the General Electric and GM displays, escalators and ramps across the fair, and the friendly help from New Yorkers. They note costs for bridge tolls, camp fees, meals, and transport, and say the trip was as much an education as the fair itself.
