School Board Rejects All Contract Bids
Navasota School Board, after meeting last Thursday night, rejected all bids for the Carver school gymnasium contract. The two lowest bidders were asked to re submit with changes. Erwin Broecker of Brenham and R B Butler Inc of Bryan were to re submit per building committee credits. Bid ranges were 103990 to 114000 for general contracts, 13778.50 to 23585 for plumbing and heating, and 5421 to 7742 for electrical. The board did not accept any bids.

L Bingham Injured in Highway Mishap
L Bingham, flagman for Mc Clausin Construction, was injured in a highway mishap between College Station and Bryan at 3 30 p m Tuesday. He has a broken left leg and compound fracture of the left arm and is hospitalized in Bryan's St Joseph Hospital. The incident occurred as Carolyn Lipscomb of College Station drove into a barricade at Texas Avenue and Innwood Drive. Authorities are unsure of the exact cause.

Attending physician told the family Tuesday of the attack following a week of back and leg pain. Freddie Long Given Five Years For Shiro Burglary
Freddie Long waived a jury and pled guilty before District Judge Max Rogers at Anderson to burglary. He received a five year sentence in the state penitentiary for the April Shiro burglary at B C Thomas Dry Goods and Grocery.
