All Senior Highs join the Methodist Presbyterian youth group for an organizational meeting and swimming at the Presbyterian Church at 12 30 p.m. The program invites attendees from any church and runs Mondays all summer with trips to Freeport Six Flags and Lake Somerville plus local service in Navasota.

Swim Sign Up For Red Cross Summer Program
The American Red Cross announces the annual summer swimming program with registration Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the municipal pool. Open Dairy Show Planned June 18
An open dairy show will be held at the American Legion grounds in Anderson on Friday June 18 in conjunction with the 1971 Grimes County Youth Fair which begins Thursday. County Agent Henry Walters mailed invitations to dairymen of neighboring counties. The junior dairy show for Grimes County youths starts 1:30 p.m. Thursday June 17 with FFA and 4-H livestock judging Thursday morning and the annual sale that night. Girls exhibits judging begins Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday morning starts at 9 a.m. A junior horse show for county youths follows, with points credited toward the district show July 10 at Rosenberg. A pet show is set for 6 p.m. Saturday before the final rodeo and calf scramble.

GSU Seeks October Electric Rate Increase in 19 Years
