Lions To Distribute Hams To Blind Of Grimes County
T h y s o n e premium hams decorated for Christmas will be distributed this week to the blind of Grimes County by the Navasota Lions Club. The annual event at Anderson drew about 150 attendees. Bo Dyer, new Bedias club president, presided over ceremonies as master of rites. Coffee and cookies were served as refreshments.

Mystery Farm Photo Identified Near Shiro Home
The D B Brooks home two miles east of Shiro on the Huntsville highway was identified as last week's Mystery Farm Photo. The Brooks inherited the farm after the death of her mother, Mrs J E Wilson, who lived on the property for 70 years. Principal crops are cotton and corn with white faced Hereford cattle. Mr and Mrs Brooks married in 1931. She attends the Presbyterian Church. he attends the Methodist Church.

Baskets To Be Distributed This Christmas Week
Seventy three Christmas baskets were prepared for local homes this week. Elementary students made twenty three baskets for each home room and distributed them on Wednesday afternoon. Two men died in a molasses truck crash when the vehicle plowed through a barricade and struck a dragline on Highway 6 near Hempstead, 50 miles north, early Saturday. D.
