Washington June 21. Secretary Hoover warned Mississippi flood losses will total about four hundred million dollars across crops railroads and highways. With rising floodwaters a health campaign to guard the south against typhoid fever will begin soon funded by a Red Cross effort costing about five hundred dollars for the cleanup drive.
A garbled report describes a bunco incident where Josephine Sabe and Jeh Cheb allegedly arranged a scam on a sidewalk. After agreeing to split money, they waited for several women to return with change, then Josephine reported the affair to Muller police and seeks restitution.
Baron De Cartier, retiring Belgian ambassador, departed Washington for New York to sail to Brussels. He will then go to London to assume the Belgian ambassadorial post at the court of St James. Prince Albert fe Ligne, ex-Belgian minister to the Netherlands, is in Brussels for instructions and will come to Washington later in the summer as the new ambassador.

Grace Cleary aged 42 of 32 Van Zandt Street was seriously burned when an oil stove exploded in her Norwalk home. She beat out the flames, walked half a mile to a grocery, collapsed, and was taken to the hospital. Daughter Florence witnessed the incident near the fire station.

Washington June 21 The Federal Radio Commission assigned station WMSG Madison Square Garden New York to the Field of Limbo by moving it to the lower wavelengths. D L Podell attorney told the commission. WMSG seeks 620 kilocycles now assigned to WABC New York. WEAF WJZ and WNYC protest the change.
Washington Junevi federal officials ready to defend the authority of the commission and the constitutionality of the 1426 radio law. Station WAMSt Madison Square Garden seeks an injunction, while WOOL Soothe International Broadcasting appeals a wavelength allocation ruling in the DC Circuit. This marks the first test of the law’s constitutionality with DOJ cooperation.
About five hundred patients were taken to a circus by attendants for mild cases. They walked through the menagerie and sat in a special section while the main show played. The outing was part of the hospital’s regular amusement program.
Arrangements are complete for the Nausatuck High School class of graduates. The ceremony will be Thursday night at 8:13 in the Gem Opera House. Principal address by Worcester Warren Bridgeport assistant superintendent and diplomas presented by Attorney John F McDonough of the town school committee.

Geneva reports a statistician joked with Admiral Saito to set an auxiliary ship ratio by delegates ages. Saito is seventy Bridgman sixty two and Gibson forty three. A 7-6-4 split would place Japan first and the United States third.

Governor C. P. Young pardoned Anita Whitney a 60 year old Oakland social worker who was convicted for membership in the Communist labor party and sentenced to one to fourteen years in San Quentin. After a long legal battle and state wide campaign, the pardon was granted following the governor's review.
Windis miners today offered their best terms to Operators to end the suspension of soft coal mining in Pennsylvania Ohio Indiana and Alabama. They insisted on the 225 daily wage from the Jacksonville contract but agreed to discuss some operators demands on working conditions. Operators led by Rice Miller recessed to decide on the offer.
Waterbury on June 21 four year old Euxgene Mc Carthy was fatally crushed when Frank Kiessling backed his car from a garage near the home. Kiessling is in custody for the coroner.
Wellesley Massachusetts June 21 gifts totaling 814000 include 856000 from John D Rockefeller Jr for the nine million dollar semi centennial fund announced at the forty ninth annual commencement. A 100000 gift from Mr and Mrs Cyrus H K Curtis will found a memorial scholarship. A campus dormitory and 349 degrees were awarded. Prof Michael J PUPIN of Columbia gave the commencement address.
Miss Mary Seba started home by trolley but boarded the wrong car and stepped in front of an automobile driven by Rev. Mearl Colver a Methodist minister. She was returned to the same doctor for treatment and found not seriously injured.
