Duane Hirthe and Whyes De We report Proruler de Villers in hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle crash near Ridenfields. Navy aviators who won the Schneider plane trophy last year at Cowes, Norway, were chosen to defend the cup at Bay Shore on October 24. Lieutenant F W Wead to lead the 194 team with pilots and reserves named.
A mounted posse with five bloodhounds searches the mountains near Crytard for the murderer of Private Chow, a state police trooper found dead at daybreak. Four other officers were sent to pursue those who shot at the stables last Monday, near Wilson.
New York reports focus on Bill McAdoo and Al Smith ahead of a planned Madison Square Garden bout. McAdoo, 01 years old, 6 ft 1 in, 165 lb. Smith, 50, 5 ft 9 in, 174 lb. Neck and limb measurements were not provided. both offered few details about training and chest measurements.
Stamford June 21 Harry Henderson of Canal street was sentenced to six months in jail on a bigamy charge. He was found guilty of having two wives, Mary Jackson Henderson of Bond street and Hattie Lee Henderson of Canal street, with the latter being his cohabiting partner.

In Westport on June 20 the town court and police department clashed when Captain Walter Dutt rebuked Prosecuting Attorney Edward B. Bridgeport, June 21. Acting Judge J Moss Ives sustains Stamford city court decision in favor of Vito Rancaniello against Mr Alfred Cavaliero and Mrs Cavaliero. Ives awards 606.08 on a promissory note. Cavaliero appealed though not joined by husband. The couple, who signed jointly, claim the money was obtained and used by the other as they live apart.
Danbury reports James R. Bennett, a railroad engineer, remains in critical condition from severe burns sustained in the wreck at Cornwall Bridge on the New York, New Haven and Hartford line. A Danbury Hospital update says little hope for recovery after his heart weakened last Tuesday. Two other men were killed. a third is at bedside with family present.
Greenwich June 21 The Milbank Fund established by Mrs Elizabeth Milbank Anderson has presented Princeton University 320000 to construct the choir of the new Princeton Chapel. The chapel will be built along Episcopal Cathedral lines at an estimated cost about 2000000 and will seat over 2000.
Oklahoma City June 21 Old saying holds that fortunes sprout from small capital in oil fields. Wildcatters borrowed modest sums from parents to drill in Oklahoma sands and struck big in Glenpool. Cowboys R A Chapman and Robert McFarland rose to oil magnates from early efforts.
Danbury residents Felix F. Tomainia and Stuart A. Northrop earned Yale honors this week for excellence in their college work. Tomainia, class of 1925, won the Philip Bliss scholarship and two years of high academic standing. Northrop, class of 1926, received honors for one year of study and the Penfield prize in mineralogy. Also noted is Warthrop entering Yale after two years at the American College in Constantinople, Turkey.
