Girl Scout merit awards at borough meeting
At Chamber of Commerce Hall a Girl Scout gathering awarded merit badges and accolades to many members. Josephine Allison, Ann Hoseblatt, Lilian Miller, Margaret Ott, Adelina Anderson, Dorothy Tremor, Miryy Anderson and others received health, home maker and entertainer badges. Betty Hull and others earned financial and attendance honors. First and second class badges were conferred on several scouts, with Anna Rosenblatt receiving a scout knife. A closing dinner honored the troops, Cross certificates issued later, and several scouts earned first aid and nursing certificates.
